Planning your trek
Before the trek, we will discuss your goals and what you would like to see, adjusting the route accordingly. On the trail, I diligently watch over the changing weather patterns and adjust our plan to prioritise clearer crossings, better views, and group safety. You will walk the itinerary that suits the mountains that week as opposed to a plan that was solidified months in advance.
Solitude over crowds.
What trekkers say
All 5 reviews on Tripadvisor ββLopsang is very attentive and knowledgeable of the Manaslu trek and we all felt very lucky to have him. We ran into several unexpected weather issues and he was able to adjust our trek accordingly to make sure we still had the best time. On the way out he talked with us about the kind of trek that we were interested in (we told him we wanted to feel like the only ones on the trail), and he made last minute adjustments based on our preferences to make sure we had the experience we desired... He knows the terrain, he makes smart decisions for his guests, he's always on top of your needs.
βBefore our trek he made sure we arrived safely in Nepal. The next day he even went shopping with us to make sure we had the right equipement... He kept asking how we were feeling to make sure everything was safe. The advantage of hiking with Lopsang, instead of a big organization, is that you are flexible. He asked every day what we wanted to do and how far we wanted to walk. We for example stayed in Samagaun and had lunch at a local womens house.
βIt was great to meet Shesh before the trek started, so that I could learn some last-minute packing tips and ask any questions. The trek plan was really clear from the start, and I felt in extremely safe hands... I could appreciate how deep his knowledge of the landscape was, but I was also able to learn so much about the culture, food, current affairs and lifestyle in Nepal during our long walks... Lopsang and Shesh helped me extend the trek smoothly and gave me lots of information to help tailor my experience exactly how I wanted.
About me
I grew up in Chitog, a small village in Solukhumbu, in the Everest region. I have held my guide licence since 2018, number 20007, and I have walked every major region of Nepal since. My favourites are the Manaslu Circuit and Everest Base Camp.
What I care most about is reading the weather and changing the plan when it needs changing, rather than walking a trek that was fixed in Kathmandu three months earlier.
